Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Mine has more than 640 million tons’ geological reserves and studies show that one third of this reserves is open pit and the rest may be extracted by subsurface mining. This mine is planned to be exploited at an annual rate of 15 million tons’ iron ore and 60 million tons’ tailing and alluvium with a tailing removal ration of 4 to 1.
